Job summary

Behavioral Health Group is seeking a compassionate Pharmacist (Part-Time) in Rhode Island to oversee pharmacy operations, supervise technicians, and ensure medication accountability. Schedule is Monday–Friday, early hours with no nights or Sundays, at multiple treatment centers.

Pay ranges from $65 to $70 per hour, based on experience, with opportunities for bonuses and professional development. Active Rhode Island PharmD licensure is required.

What You'll Do

Manage Documentation and Inventory

• Ensure medications are prepared, handled, documented, and distributed accurately to support safe, effective, and compassionate patient care.
• Maintain precise medication records, conduct monthly inventory reconciliations, and oversee daily pharmacy transactions to ensure continuity of care and operational excellence.
• Monitor medication inventory and proactively identify, investigate, and report discrepancies in accordance with company policies, DEA regulations, and pharmacy best practices, protecting the integrity of our patients' treatment.

Team Building

• Lead and support pharmacy technicians in the preparation of pre-dispensed methadone doses and take-home medications, fostering a culture of accuracy and patient-centered service.
• Invest in continuous learning by participating in professional development, ongoing training, and required education to strengthen clinical knowledge and improve patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Effective communication skills for phone and in-person interactions.
• Adequate vision to read correspondence and computer screens.
• Familiarity with standard medical office conditions and interactions with diverse patient populations.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

• Fast-paced clinical environment with period of increased activity.
• Exposure to patients with substance use disorders, mental health conditions, infectious diseases, and criminal justice involvement.
• Prolonged standing, bending, and stooping.
• Alternating between sitting and standing throughout the workday.
• Potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens.
• Use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when required.
• Frequent keyboarding and computer use.
