Job summary

Behavioral Health Group - BHG is seeking a compassionate Pharmacist to oversee pharmacy operations, supervise technicians, and maintain medication accountability. The role emphasizes patient-centered care and recovery within our addiction treatment network.

The position offers a Monday–Friday schedule from 5:00 AM to 2:00 PM at treatment centers, with pay ranging from $65 to $70 per hour based on experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure medications are prepared, handled, documented, and distributed accurately to support safe, effective, and compassionate patient care.
• Maintain precise medication records, conduct monthly inventory reconciliations, and oversee daily pharmacy transactions to ensure continuity of care and operational excellence.
• Monitor medication inventory and proactively identify, investigate, and report discrepancies in accordance with company policies, DEA regulations, and pharmacy best practices, protecting the integrity of our patients' treatment.

What You’ll Do

Manage Documentation and Inventory

• Ensure medications are prepared, handled, documented, and distributed accurately to support safe, effective, and compassionate patient care.
• Maintain precise medication records, conduct monthly inventory reconciliations, and oversee daily pharmacy transactions to ensure continuity of care and operational excellence.
• Monitor medication inventory and proactively identify, investigate, and report discrepancies in accordance with company policies, DEA regulations, and pharmacy best practices, protecting the integrity of our patients' treatment.

Team Building

• Lead and support pharmacy technicians in the preparation of pre-dispensed methadone doses and take-home medications, fostering a culture of accuracy and patient-centered service.

Physical Requirements And Working Conditions

• Fast-paced clinical environment with period of increased activity.
• Exposure to patients with substance use disorders, mental health conditions, infectious diseases, and criminal justice involvement.
• Prolonged standing, bending, and stooping.
• Alternating between sitting and standing throughout the workday.
• Potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens.
• Use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when required.
