SpecialtyRx, Inc. is a fast-growing Long-Term Care pharmacy team dedicated to delivering personalized pharmaceutical care to long-term care facilities and assisted living communities.

We are hiring a Licensed Pharmacist (Part-Time/Per Diem) to join our high-impact team and help ensure safe, effective medication management. You will evaluate orders, supervise dispensing, and collaborate with nurses, physicians, and facility staff.

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacist licensed by KY Board of Pharmacy.
• Experience in Long-Term Care preferred.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Detail-oriented and reliable; able to work independently.
• Proficient computer skills; experience with LTC frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate medication orders for drug safety, dosage, interactions, and administration.
• Ensure dispensed medicines are correctly supplied and labeled.
• Communicate with nursing staff, physicians, and healthcare team on medication queries.
• Supervise the preparation of medicines.
• Recommend therapy changes to physicians and facility staff when appropriate.
• Investigate and resolve medication-related queries.
• Maintain patient database with medical history, labs, and clinical data.

Licensed Pharmacist Responsibilities

• Evaluate medication orders for appropriateness of drug, dosage, potential interactions, and proper administration.
• Ensure that dispensed medicines are correctly supplied and labeled.
• Communicate with facilities’ nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare team members in regard to medication-related query.
• Supervise the preparation of any medicines.
• Make recommendation for therapy changes to the physician and client facilities staff, if necessary.
• Investigate and resolve medication-related queries.
• Maintain customers’ database to include medical history, clinical, laboratory data, etc.

Shifts: 3rd Shift, 8-hour, 10 hour or 12-hour shifts.

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacist with KY Board of Pharmacy a must.
• Previous experience in Long Term Care preferred.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, accurately, and efficiently.
• Must be multi-tasking and reliable.
• Computer literate, knowledge of Frameworks LTC system, PLUS.
