Job summary

Guardian Pharmacy of the Piedmont in Charlotte, North Carolina, is seeking a pharmacist with at least 1 year of related experience to join our growing team. You will prepare medications, review orders, and ensure legal and safety standards are met while coordinating with clinicians and staff.

We offer a comprehensive benefits package and a collaborative, diverse work environment. The position requires four 10-hour shifts weekly with weekend coverage on a rotating schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree (Pharmacy) or PharmD. required.
• State Pharmacist License required without restrictions.
• Experience and ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented pharmacy setting.

Responsibilities

• Accurately prepare medications for final dispensing to the patient, including filling, order entry, and packaging.
• Review completed orders and cycle-fill medications to ensure prescriptions were filled correctly.
• Verify the legality and pharmaceutical feasibility of dispensing a drug based on patients' allergies, incompatibilities with current medications, and refills.
• Interpret prescription orders with professional judgment for patient safety and legal limits.
• Adhere to Federal and State Board of Pharmacy regulations and compounding guidelines.
• Transfer prescriptions to other pharmacies as needed.
• Answer questions from patients, doctors, nurses, etc.
• Oversee the work of technicians and provide feedback to supervisor.
• Log all error medication occurrences.
