Job summary

CVS Health Staff Pharmacists play a critical role in cultivating a culture of excellence within our pharmacy teams at Retail locations. You will support the Pharmacy Manager, oversee operations, and ensure safe dispensing and patient care while delivering immunizations and counseling.

This full-time role requires active licensure, strong regulatory knowledge, and a commitment to safety, quality and patient outcomes in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacist license in the state where the store is located.
• Active National Provider Identifier (NPI).
• Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list.

Responsibilities

• Live our purpose by helping to manage and improve patient health through safe dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices.
• Oversee the pharmacy as proxy during bench shifts and coach team to improve performance.
• Assume Pharmacy Manager's duties when serving as the only or primary pharmacist-on-duty.
• Support safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by following pharmacy workflow procedures and safety guardrails at every workstation.
• Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and coaching the pharmacy team to do the same.
