Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Staff Pharmacist to lead daily pharmacy operations in our retail setting and ensure safe, accurate dispensing and patient care. You will support the Pharmacy Manager, oversee the pharmacy team during shifts, and drive clinical care practices to improve patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located.
• Active National Provider Identifier (NPI).
• Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list.

Responsibilities

• Living our purpose by helping to manage and improve patient health through safe dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices.
• Overseeing the pharmacy as proxy during bench shifts and coaching the team to improve performance.
• Assuming Pharmacy Manager duties when serving as the primary pharmacist on duty.
• Ensuring safe prescription fulfillment by following workflow procedures and safety guardrails.
• Contributing to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and caring, and resolving insurance and medication issues.
• Administering immunizations and supporting pharmacy technicians to learn to immunize.
• Managing inventory and protecting cold chain products for patients and the business.
• Ensuring operations comply with state regulations and CVS policies at all times.
• Maintaining scheduling flexibility and staying current with trainings and CMEs.
• Supporting pharmacist clinical care such as testing and prescribing services where permissible.
