Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a pharmacist to practice patient-centered care in our pharmacy, focusing on accurate prescription fulfillment and exceptional service.

You will educate staff, supervise technicians, and expand clinical services such as immunizations, while upholding Meijer policies and legal requirements. The position emphasizes patient relationships, team leadership, and a commitment to advancing pharmacy care within our community.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist degree and licensure in the state of practice.
• Immunization certification (pharmacist) required except Indiana.
• CPR certification and retail/community practice experience.

Responsibilities

• Fill prescriptions safely and accurately.
• Maintain positive relationships with patients, team members and leadership.
• Hold pharmacy technicians accountable for results and help grow the pharmacy business.
• Educate and mentor pharmacy technicians to be effective team members.
• Motivate team members to perform to their highest level.
• Know Meijer Policies and Procedures, and state/federal laws.
• Communicate effectively and be an agent of change.
• Prioritize workload with excellent organizational skills.
• Listen to patients and resolve needs; provide customer service.
• In the absence of the pharmacist in charge, oversee pharmacy operations.
• Perform and oversee clinical services including immunizations where allowed.

Education

Bachelor of Science Degree or Doctorate of Pharmacy
