Job summary

AmeriPharma is seeking a Pharmacist Intern to work under licensed pharmacists at our on-site Laguna Hills location. You will assist with non-licensed tasks, participate in daily operations, and support regulatory compliance under supervision.

Open availability is required: at least 3 full days, 8:30am-4:30pm PST each week, Monday to Friday. This internship offers practical pharmacy experience in a fast-paced setting with opportunities to learn and grow alongside licensed professionals.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist Intern licensure in California.
• English proficiency (reading/writing/speaking).
• Basic math and analytical ability.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Reliable with excellent attendance.
• Team-oriented and positive.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Willingness to multitask and adapt to priorities.
• Open availability: at least 3 full days, 8:30am–4:30pm PST, M–F.

Responsibilities

• Receive new prescription orders from prescribers or permitted individuals.
• Consult with patients or their representatives about prescriptions and medical details.
• Ensure prescriptions are accurate and appropriate for indications, dosage, and interactions.
• Assist in transferring prescriptions between pharmacies with proper documentation.
• Provide confident, professional patient consultations.
• Support daily operations and fill-in for short-staffed areas as needed.
• Comply with regulatory standards and department policies.
• Complete patient assessments and medication reviews; perform quality assurance.
