Job summary

AmeriPharma is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator I in Laguna Hills, CA to deliver exceptional service and coordinate medication deliveries. The role ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies while supporting continuity of care and patient satisfaction.

You will handle scheduling, patient information collection, and collaboration with Pharmacy, Billing, and Delivery teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of customer service experience, preferably in healthcare or pharmacy.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal, telephone, and relationship-building abilities.
• Fluency in English (speaking, reading, and writing).
• Typing speed of at least 30 words per minute.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to follow established procedures and maintain documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional customer service through inbound and outbound communications with patients, caregivers, nurses, physician offices, and internal teams.
• Schedule medication deliveries for AIC and home infusion patients, maintaining a scheduling window of at least 14 days.
• Review patient profiles, delivery instructions, and admission information for accuracy before confirming deliveries.
• Coordinate follow-up with pharmacists, nurses, or other departments as needed.
• Collect copayments using approved payment methods.
• Maintain complete, accurate documentation in pharmacy systems and patient records.
• Ensure HIPAA, Board of Pharmacy, and accreditation standards are followed.
• Identify and escalate complex issues to senior team members when necessary.
• Support cross-department collaboration to minimize delays in scheduling or delivery.
