Saliba's Extended Care Pharmacy, part of the Guardian family, seeks a pharmacist intern on a PRN schedule in Phoenix, AZ. You will work under a licensed Staff Pharmacist to gain hands-on experience and contribute to patient care.

Responsibilities include dispensing under supervision, verifying prescriptions, compounding medications, and assisting with inventory and customer questions. This role offers flexible hours and hands-on learning in a fast-paced pharmacy setting.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in Pharmacy school with good standing.
• Current Intern Pharmacist License (when applicable).
• 1+ years of related experience.
• Proficient with pharmacy operations systems.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsabilités

• Receive incoming orders from healthcare providers.
• Verify legality and feasibility of dispensing a drug based on allergies and interactions.
• Interpret prescription orders and exercise professional judgment.
• Compound IV, topical, and oral medications.
• Prepare medications for final dispensing to the patient.
• Transfer prescriptions to other pharmacies as needed.
• Answer questions from patients, doctors, nurses, etc.
• Evaluate inventory levels and place orders when below par.
• Notify customer/facility if product is out of stock and when it can be filled.
• Restock station supplies and packaging materials.
