Abrazo Central Hospital is seeking a Pharmacy Intern to assist the pharmacist by filling orders, preparing sterile medications, and supporting daily pharmacy operations at our central Phoenix campus.

The role requires enrollment in a College of Pharmacy, an Arizona Pharmacy Intern license, and strong customer service and teamwork skills to support clinicians and patients in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with occasional periods of above average pressure.
• Must have basic computer skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Must be willing to work in all areas of the pharmacy services as assigned.
• Effective interpersonal skills and ability to work with team members required.

Responsabilités

• Assist the pharmacist by filling medication orders and delivering to patient care areas.
• Fill medication carts, automated dispensing units and prep sterile orders with aseptic technique.
• Input medication charges and maintain drawer accuracy.
• Prepare paperwork for prepackaging records and ensure accuracy of orders.
• Assist in inventory control and wholesale orders as requested.
• Participate in training and supervision of students and new staff.
