Saliba’s Extended Care Pharmacy, a member of the Guardian family of pharmacies, invites you to join our rapidly growing team in Phoenix, Arizona. This PRN pharmacist intern role offers hands-on experience under a licensed Staff Pharmacist and involves dispensing, IV/topical/oral compounding, and patient interaction.

We seek motivated students with strong ethics, planning, problem-solving, and teamwork, who are detail-oriented and capable of multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Currently enrolled in Pharmacy school with good standing.
• Current Intern Pharmacist License (when applicable).

Responsabilités

• Receive incoming orders from healthcare providers.
• Verify legality and feasibility of dispensing a drug.
• Interpret prescription orders and exercise professional judgment.
• Compound IV, topical, and oral medications.
• Prepare medications for final dispensing including packaging.
• Transfer prescriptions to other pharmacies as needed.
• Answer questions from patients, doctors, nurses, etc.
• Evaluate inventory levels and place orders when below par.
• Notify customer if product is out of stock and when it can be filled.
• Restock station supplies as needed.
• Other essential duties as assigned.
