Job summary

Renown Health in Reno is seeking a pharmacist to join our inpatient pharmacy team, focusing on drug distribution and clinical care for hospitalized patients. This role is ideal for someone starting in inpatient or clinical pharmacy and who enjoys night shifts with a week-on, week-off schedule.

The position requires a Pharm.D. from an ACPE-accredited program or equivalent experience, Nevada pharmacist license eligibility, and BLS; ACLS for certain locations.

Qualifications

• Pharm.D. degree from ACPE-accredited program or 10 years of acute care pharmacy experience is required.
• Pharmacy Residency or equivalent clinical pharmacy training is preferred.

This position is ideal for anyone wanting to start their journey into inpatient or clinical pharmacy or that enjoys working nights with a week-on, week-off schedule. The incumbent must be able to work well with a team of other pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to provide quality drug distribution and clinical care for patients at Renown Health.

Education

• Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing and speaking English.
• Completion of Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an ACPE accredited pharmacy program or 10 years of experience in acute care pharmacy is required.
• Completion of a Pharmacy Residency or equivalent training program in clinical pharmacy is preferred.

Experience

• Applicants with previous hospital pharmacy experience will be given preference.

License(s)

• Ability to obtain and maintain a State of Nevada Pharmacist license.

Certification(s)

• Healthcare BLS within the first 90 days of employment is required for all locations.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within the first 90 days of employment is required for location 200211, 200212 and 400211.

Computer / Typing

• Must possess, or be able to obtain within 90 days, the computers skills necessary to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc.
