Job description

Responsibilities

Providing quality pharmaceutical care and protocol implementation for patients on the medical, telemetry, neurosciences, and general surgery floors. Acting as an integral member of the multidisciplinary healthcare team responsible for drug therapy outcomes for individual patients.

Education

• Working‑level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Completion of a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an ACPE accredited pharmacy program or 10 years of experience in acute care pharmacy (required).
• Completion of a Pharmacy Residency or equivalent training program in clinical pharmacy (preferred).

Experience

Applicants with previous hospital pharmacy experience will be given preference.

License

Ability to obtain and maintain a State of Nevada Pharmacist license.

Certification

• Healthcare Basic Life Support (BLS) within the first 90 days of employment (required for all locations).
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within the first 90 days of employment (required for locations 200211, 200212, and 400211).

Computer / Typing

Possess, or be able to obtain within 90 days, computer skills necessary to complete online learning requirements for job‑specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc. Type 25 words per minute.
