Job summary

Dayton Children's, Main Campus Pharmacy, is seeking a full-time clinical pharmacist to oversee daily operations in the Clinical Pharmacy department and ensure safe medication processing and delivery to patients.

You will review and verify orders, provide drug information, monitor therapies, and promote medication safety while working with the pharmacy team to support technicians and ensure regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD Degree is required
• Must hold Ohio licensure as a registered pharmacist.

Responsibilities

• The pharmacist oversees the daily operations within the department to ensure the safe and appropriate processing and delivery of medications to the patients.
• The pharmacist is responsible for reviewing and verifying medication orders and completing the final check for medication dispensing.
• The pharmacist monitors patient drug therapies, provides drug information, and promotes medication safety.
• The pharmacist supports and supersedes the pharmacy technicians. In the absence of the pharmacy manager, the pharmacist may be required to assume the essential responsibilities and perform the duties of the pharmacy manager.
