Job summary

Pharmacy1st Health is seeking a dedicated Staff Pharmacist to oversee daily operations and deliver clinical care in a rural-based network. You will ensure regulatory compliance, supervise staff, and collaborate with the broader healthcare team to improve patient outcomes.

The role emphasizes patient-centered dispensing, counseling, immunizations, and medication therapy management within a growing rural care model that integrates pharmacy and primary care services.

Qualifications

• PharmD or BS in Pharmacy from an accredited college or school.
• Active Iowa Pharmacist license in good standing.
• 1+ years of community or retail pharmacy experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of regulations, third-party billing, and pharmacy management systems.
• Strong clinical judgment with a focus on patient care.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily pharmacy operations, including prescription verification and workflow management.
• Provide patient care through dispensing, counseling, immunizations, MTM, and other clinical services.
• Supervise and mentor pharmacy technicians and staff to promote safety and service quality.
• Maintain quality assurance standards and implement continuous process improvements.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
• Support growth of pharmacy and clinical services within the community.
• Maintain accurate documentation for audits, inspections, and reporting.
