Job summary

Brown University Health is seeking a Pharmacist-in-Charge at The Miriam Hospital site in Providence, RI. You will oversee all operational, professional, and clinical activities for pharmacy operations, ensure compliance with RI DoH/DEA, manage staff scheduling, budgeting, and performance appraisals, and serve as a mentor to pharmacists, technicians and students.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist degree (BS in Pharmacy or PharmD) and current RI licensure.
• Prior to start date, full unrestricted licensure as a Rhode Island pharmacist.
• Three years progressively responsible related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all pharmacy operations at the assigned Brown University Health Pharmacy site.
• Ensure compliance with RI DoH, DEA, and Board of Pharmacy rules.
• Manage scheduling for clinical pharmacists, technicians, and interns.
• Monitor labor, payroll, inventory, and expenses to meet budget targets.
• Supervise and mentor staff; conduct annual performance appraisals.
