Job summary

Brown University Health Pharmacy is seeking a Pharmacist-in-Charge to lead operations at the Brown University Health Pharmacy site. You will supervise pharmacists, technicians, and students, ensuring regulatory compliance, budgeting, and quality control across dispensing, compounding, and clinical services.

You will collaborate with care teams to optimize medication use, mentor staff, and drive performance improvements while upholding safety and service standards.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist degree and active Rhode Island licensure required at start date.
• 3+ years of progressively responsible healthcare/operations experience desired.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Familiarity with pharmacy tech staffing, budgeting, and compliance programs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee compliance with state/federal laws and board rules at the licensed site.
• Manage budget for labor, payroll, sales, script counts, inventory and expenses.
• Precept interns/residents; coach and mentor staff; conduct annual appraisals.
• Ensure 340B program adherence and quality assurance initiatives.
