PHARMACIST IN CHARGE – HOME INFUSION SPECIALIST

Compensation
- Base Salary: $140,000 - $170,000
- Total Compensation: Up to $225,000
Job Summary
Our client, a leading provider of home infusion pharmacy services, is seeking an experienced Pharmacist In Charge to oversee pharmacy operations and deliver exceptional patient care at their Greater Fort Wayne location.
This leadership role is responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance, optimizing pharmacy operations, maintaining the highest standards of medication safety, and leading a high-performing pharmacy team dedicated to improving patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily pharmacy operations while ensuring compliance with all state and federal regulations.
- Implement and enforce best practices and clinical guidelines specific to home infusion therapies.
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including the storage, handling, and disposal of medications and supplies.
- Maintain accurate documentation, records, and audit readiness.
- Supervise medication preparation and dispensing to ensure accuracy, quality, and patient safety.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to optimize patient-specific infusion therapies.
- Provide medication therapy management, patient counseling, and clinical education.
- Recruit, lead, mentor, and develop pharmacy staff to maintain a high-performing team.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning, professional development, and operational excellence.
- Address employee performance, concerns, and workplace issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare providers, manufacturers, vendors, and other key stakeholders.
- Represent the organization at industry meetings, professional events, and within the healthcare community.
Qualifications
- Active Pharmacist license in the State of Indiana.
- Minimum of 5 years of home infusion pharmacy experience preferred.
- Proven leadership experience managing pharmacy operations and staff.
- Strong knowledge of state and federal pharmacy regulations.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to effectively multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and manage competing deadlines.
