VytlOne is actively seeking a Pharmacist-in-Charge for Heywood Pharmacy in MA. This role ensures compliant pharmacy operations, supervises staff, and manages purchasing and inventory while maintaining patient safety and quality care.

The position emphasizes collaboration with clinicians, patients, and management, with a strong focus on operational excellence, process improvement, and patient education across the pharmacy. Day shifts with competitive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Pharm.D. degree preferred and MA pharmacist license current and active.
• Experience supervising pharmacy staff in a retail setting.
• Strong communication with physicians, patients and staff.
• Ability to manage drug purchasing and inventory controls.

Responsibilities

VytlOne is currently recruiting for a Pharmacist-in-Charge for Heywood Pharmacy. The Pharmacist-in-Charge ensures compliance with all applicable laws and regulations for The retail Pharmacy. This is a unique opportunity to practice outpatient pharmacy in a model that integrates the pharmacy into the patient care transition model.

Salary Range: $130,000 to $165,000 based on experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for management, oversight and operations of all aspects within the pharmacy consistent with professional, ethical, and legal standards of proper pharmacy practice.
• Responsible for the supervision of pharmacy staff involved in the pharmacy workflow including hiring, training, data entry, verification and dispensing of medications.
• Responsible for drug purchasing and inventory controls of the pharmacy.
• Ensure that billing & remittance documents are completed in an accurate and time sensitive manner.
• Meets with pharma representatives and maintains knowledge of therapeutics, pricing and patient assistance programs.
• Monitor and make recommendations to fulfillment staff on inventory management.
• Assist in the development of a management reporting dashboard.
• Creates ad hoc reports for management.
• Addresses HCP pharmaceutical issues and drug information questions.
• Ensures literacy level of patient information appropriate for consumer.
• Ensures annual review and update of patient education material as necessary.
• Develops and implements patient and medication therapy management program.
• Review, edit and approve all marketing and web-site information prior to publication.
• Ensures that qualified clinicians are accountable to the organization for decisions affecting consumers.
• Maintain Quality Assurance tracking program.
• Ensure confidentiality of patient information and their records, and destruction of relevant documentation which contains patient information.
• Perform all tasks in a safe and compliant manner that is consistent with corporate policies as well as State and Federal laws.
• Work collaboratively with other pharmacies/staff and upper level management team.

Supervisory Responsibilities

• Directly supervises pharmacy staff in accordance with company policies and applicable laws including interviewing, hiring, and training; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) highly preferred.
• Possession of a current unrestricted and valid pharmacist license in the state of MA.
• Controlled Substance license preferred.
• Ability to supervise pharmacy staff in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate and establish collaborative relationships with physicians, patients, clinical and administrative staff.
• Strong technical aptitude and ability to learn complex new software.
