Job summary

CareArc is seeking an experienced Pharmacist in Charge to lead our pharmacy operations within a Federally Qualified Health Center. You will oversee pharmacy services, ensure regulatory compliance, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes.

The ideal candidate holds a Kansas pharmacist license, has 3+ years of experience, strong leadership and communication skills, and solid knowledge of 340B, DEA, HRSA guidelines, and quality improvement.

Responsibilities

Make a Difference in Community Health

CareArc is seeking an experienced, compassionate, and mission driven full-time Pharmacist in Charge to to lead our pharmacy operations! As a key clinical and operational leader within our Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), you will oversee pharmacy services, ensure regulatory compliance, ad collaborative with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to improve patient outcomes.

Duties include:
  • Direct and oversee all pharmacy and clinical services.
  • Ensure compliance with state pharmacy board regulations, DEA requirements, HRSA guidelines, and 340B program standards.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor pharmacy policies, procedures, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Responsible for accurately filling prescriptions issued by providers in a safe, efficient, and timely manner in accordance with all State and Federal laws.
  • Monitor inventory management, purchasing, storage, and dispensing practices.
  • Lead medication safety and risk management activities.
  • Participates in Medication Therapy Management by reviewing patients’ medications and making clinical recommendations to providers based on current guidelines
  • Maintains and applies knowledge of the 340B program, sliding fee scale, and referral prescriptions.
  • Advocates for the pharmacy and works to ensure integration of pharmacy services and expertise into the organization as a whole
  • Supervise, mentor, and evaluate pharmacy staff (pharmacist, technicians, and support staff).
  • Collaborate with physician and non-physician providers on best prescribing practices, drug alternatives, best pricing options, and Medication assistance program information
  • Refilling prescriptions, administration of medications, and referrals;
  • Performing other duties needed for patient care.

The ideal candidate is customer service orientated, self-motivated, attentive to detail and can work efficiently both independently and with a team. Bilingualism, strong computer skills and experience with electronic medical records are a plus.

Education and Experience
  • Current Pharmacy license in the State of Kansas
  • 3+ years experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of pharmacy regulations, quality assurance, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
