Stop & Shop in Killingly, CT is seeking a Pharmacist to lead prescription processing, patient counseling, and health services in our community pharmacy. You will ensure regulatory compliance, protect patient information, and support growth initiatives while collaborating with store leadership.

The role requires a current pharmacist license, immunization certification, and BLS. Flexibility for varied hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays is expected.

Qualifications

• Active pharmacist license and immunization certification in good standing with the state board.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Comprehensive understanding of federal and state pharmacy regulations.
• Strong communication, leadership, and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Accurately process and verify prescriptions in accordance with state and federal laws, ethical standards, and company policies.
• Provide compassionate, knowledgeable counseling to patients about prescription and over-the-counter medications.
• Serve as a trusted connection between patients, healthcare providers, and your local community.
• Ensure the confidentiality and security of patient and company information.
• Support and contribute to pharmacy growth initiatives and community outreach efforts.
• Oversee daily pharmacy operations and ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards.
• Administer immunizations and provide other health services as permitted by state law.
• Coach, mentor, and support pharmacy technicians and team members in delivering excellent service.
• Collaborate with store and pharmacy leadership to achieve operational goals.
