Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a licensed Pharmacist to fill prescriptions accurately and build strong patient relationships. You will mentor technicians, uphold Meijer policies, and lead pharmacy operations in the pharmacist in charge's absence.

Immunizations may be part of the clinical services offered. Applicants should hold a PharmD or BS in Pharmacy, be licensed in the state, and have immunization certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree or Doctorate of Pharmacy.
• Registered and licensed in the state of practice.
• Certified Immunization Pharmacist (except Indiana) Retail/Community Practice.
• Working knowledge of pharmacy system, policies and procedures, and regulatory in the state the unit operates.

Responsibilities

• Fill prescriptions safely accurately.
• Maintain positive relationships with patients, team members and leadership.
• Hold pharmacy technicians accountable for results and grow the pharmacy business.
• Educate and mentor pharmacy technicians to be effective team members.
• Motivate team members to perform to their highest level.
• Comply with Meijer policies, procedures, and state/federal laws.
• Demonstrate effective communication skills and act as an agent of change.
• Maintain excellent organization and workload prioritization.
• Listen to the patient and resolve patient’s needs and provide customer service.
• In the absence of the pharmacist in charge, oversee pharmacy operations.
• Perform and oversee clinical services where allowed, including immunizations.
