Palmdale Regional Medical Center is seeking a Staff Pharmacist to provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care, including drug distribution, patient counseling, and teaching. The position supports the Director of Pharmacy and requires CA licensure and pharmacy CPI within 30 days. Prior hospital experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year hospital experience; 1–3 years preferred.
• Current Pharmacist licensure in California.

• Fill medication orders, monitor and manage drug therapies; provide drug information.

Position Description

Staff Pharmacist provides comprehensive pharmaceutical care through integrated drug distribution, patient counseling and teaching. Staff Pharmacists fill orders for medications, monitor patient’s drug therapies and provide drug information. Staff pharmacist supervises and directs supportive staff. In the absence of the Director of Pharmacy, a staff pharmacist may be required to assume the essential responsibilities and perform the duties of the Director of Pharmacy.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year previous experience required. One to three years hospital experience preferred. Pyxis experience with knowledge of Pyxis reports.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy required.
• Current Pharmacist licensure in the State of California.
• CPI is required within 30 days of hire.
