Job summary

St. Mary’s Health Care System in Georgia is seeking a full-time hospital pharmacist to deliver comprehensive pharmaceutical care, including dispensing, medication control and monitoring, and collaboration with clinical teams to optimize patient outcomes across inpatient units, with emphasis on safety and evidence-based practice.

The role requires Georgia licensure and a PharmD or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy.

Qualifications

• Must meet all Georgia licensure requirements and maintain a current Georgia Pharmacy License.
• A Bachelor or Science degree in pharmacy or a PharmD from an accredited School of Pharmacy.
• Previous hospital pharmacy or long-term care experience is desired

Responsibilities

• Provide dispensing and pharmaceutical care within the hospital setting.
• Monitor medications and ensure safety and effectiveness.
• Discuss changes with the Manager of Pharmacy Services or Pharmacy leadership

Including dispensing, control and monitoring medications and biological used in the facility. Changes should be evaluated and discussed with the Manager of Pharmacy Services.

Position Requirements

• A: Licensure/Certification/Registration: Must have completed all Georgia Licensure requirements and maintain a current Georgia Pharmacy License.
• B. Education: A Bachelor or Science degree in pharmacy or a PharmD from an accredited School of Pharmacy.
• C: Experience: Previous experience in a hospital pharmacy or long-term care experience is desired
