Job summary

Strive Pharmacy in Tampa, FL is seeking a licensed pharmacist to join our personalized-compounding team. You will verify compounded medications, ensure accurate dosing, and uphold quality control and company SOPs.

This full-time role runs Monday–Friday, with patient-focused duties, counseling patients, and collaboration with providers to tailor therapies for each individual.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree required.
• Active Florida Pharmacist license.
• Retail pharmacy experience or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Check entered prescriptions for accuracy and appropriateness.
• Perform calculations to ensure ingredients are measured correctly.
• Visually inspect sterile and non-sterile compounded lots and individual prescriptions for color, consistency, and appearance.
• Answer and clarify pharmacy-related questions from providers and patients.
• Counsel patients and provide guidance on appropriate therapy and dosing.

Position Overview

Ensure appropriate dosing and verify compounded medications while upholding quality control and compliance according to Strive Pharmacy Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Shift Schedule: Monday - Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm

Join the forefront of healthcare excellence, where you'll be:

• Checking entered prescriptions for accuracy and appropriateness
• Performing calculations to ensure ingredients within a formula are measured and utilized properly
• Visually checking lots compounded in sterile and non-sterile labs
• Visually checking individual prescriptions to ensure color, consistency, and general appearance
• Answering and making clarification phone calls dedicated for pharmacists
• Counseling patients
• Offering guidance to providers regarding appropriate therapy and dosing for optimal individualized care

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of Bachelor of Science (BS) in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) Degree
• Active FL Pharmacist license
• Fulfillment experience in a retail setting or equivalent

Desired Skills

• Experience in compounding
• Understanding of aseptic technique
• Familiar with USP guidelines
