Erie County Medical Center Corporation in Buffalo, NY seeks a licensed pharmacist to provide professional pharmaceutical services across inpatient and outpatient drug distribution and pharmaceutical technology.
The pharmacist will supervise staff, ensure safety and accuracy, consult with physicians, and participate in drug information and patient education to support optimal therapy outcomes.
HOURLY RANGE: $71.55 - $79.63
The work involves providing professional pharmaceutical service for drug distribution and control at the Erie County Medical Center Corporation. The incumbent participates in work activities of one or more service areas including inpatient drug distribution, outpatient drug distribution and pharmaceutical technology. The incumbent assumes responsibility for quality, quantity and sensitivity of pharmaceutical services of an assigned area to assume maximum safety and efficiency of drug therapy. Work is performed under the general supervision of a professional employee of higher rank. Supervision is exercised over a number of support personnel relating to drug preparation and distribution. Does related work as required.
Good knowledge of principles, procedures, terminology and equipment of pharmacy; good knowledge of techniques of compounding drugs; good knowledge of large scale hospital pharmacy procedures and techniques; ability to perform a variety of professional pharmaceutical tasks with a high degree of accuracy; ability to maintain detailed pharmaceutical records and to prepare reports; ability to supervise and get along well with others; initiative and resourcefulness; industry and dependability; capable of performing the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation..
Possession of a license to practice as a Pharmacist as issued by the New York State Department of Education at time of Permanent appointment and maintenance throughout duration of appointment.
