Job summary

Kroger Family of Companies is seeking a licensed pharmacist to fulfill prescription needs and provide pharmaceutical care in a retail setting. You will counsel patients, ensure HIPAA compliance, and maintain accurate records while upholding Kroger's standards for safety and service.

The position requires a Bachelor's in Pharmacy, current state licensure, strong communication, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist must have a B.Pharm degree and valid licensure.
• Ability to handle stressful situations.
• Strong math skills (counting, addition, subtraction).
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Knowledge of pharmacy laws and HIPAA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient counseling and pharmaceutical care to customers
• Ensure pharmacies comply with all laws including HIPAA
• Maintain a professional image through appearance, conduct and attitude
• Achieve knowledge of the trade area and competition
• Create a positive pharmacy department image through service and cooperation
• Monitor stock replenishment, inventory, record keeping, security and budgeting
• Maintain records for scheduled drugs and ensure proper operation of equipment
• Follow procedures for handling pharmacy products from authorized sources
• Ensure accuracy tools, including scanners and post-dispensing audit reports, are used
• Establish/maintain record keeping practices for legal compliance
• Maintain signage and organize policy manuals
• Broaden personal knowledge and pharmacy skills
• Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
