The role supports compliance with statutes, regulations and Kroger policies while upholding core values of respect, integrity, and safety. The pharmacist will interpret prescriptions, counsel patients, supervise staff, maintain inventory and collaborate with prescribers to optimize therapy.

Qualifications

• Licensed pharmacist with Board of Pharmacy license.
• Effective interpersonal, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment.

• Sound judgement/decision making skills.
• Ability to preserve confidentiality of information.
• APhA Immunization Certified.

Responsibilities

• Fill prescriptions accurately and interpret physicians’ orders.
• Counsel patients on medications and potential interactions in person and by phone.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and oversee prescription filling.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA privacy regulations and regulatory guidelines.
• Consult with prescribers on therapy appropriateness and potential drug interactions.
• Monitor inventory levels and maintain stock for service levels.
• Perform daily operations under the pharmacy manager’s direction and follow department policies.
• Provide patient clinical services including medication therapy management when appropriate.
