Join us as a Pharmacist - Daylight Limited Part-Time at UPMC

UPMC Presbyterian Campus is seeking a limited part-time Pharmacist to collaborate with healthcare professionals, enhance patient outcomes, and deliver impactful pharmacy services. This role is ideal for individuals with strong teamwork, communication, and customer service skills, committed to safety and quality. The position involves working daylight hours every third weekend.

Purpose

Ensure cost-effective pharmacotherapy, contribute to experiential education, and support drug-related research to optimize patient care.

Responsibilities
  1. Review and maintain patient medication records, ensuring accuracy regarding allergies, drug interactions, and therapeutic duplications.
  2. Identify and report adverse drug reactions promptly.
  3. Interpret physician orders to prepare and dispense medications in compliance with regulations.
  4. Prepare intravenous solutions using aseptic techniques.
  5. Supervise pharmacy staff and organize daily operations.
  6. Fill prescriptions according to regulations, utilizing technological resources.
  7. Provide drug information and educational programs to healthcare professionals and students.
Qualifications
  • B.S. in Pharmacy or Pharm D. from an accredited institution.
  • 3-6 months hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
  • Experience with investigational drugs and protocol design is a plus.
Licensure and Certifications
  • Licensed Pharmacist
  • Act 34 Clearance
