Job summary

The Johns Hopkins Medicine is seeking a Pharmacist Coordinator to lead our pharmacy operations and supervise technician staff. The role focuses on medication order review, care coordination, and ensuring patient safety in multiple divisions including Adult Medicine, Emergency, and Surgery.

The Pharmacist Coordinator serves as an integral role in product dispensing and in overall pharmacy operations. These pharmacists are responsible for leading our technician staff, reporting operational concerns or needs, and ensuring patient safety through the medication dispensing process. This position serves in the Adult Medicine, Emergency, and Surgery Pharmacy Division, which provides comprehensive pharmacy services to all adult patients at JHH with the exception of oncology patients. Additional responsibilities for the position include: medication order review and verification, care coordination, drug information response, and education to students, residents, pharmacists, other health care practitioners and patients and family members.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Graduation from an accredited College of Pharmacy resulting in Pharm D. or BS degree. Completion of an ASHP accredited residency program or equivalent experience is desired.
  • Previous health-system experience with responsibility for the supervision of pharmacy personnel is desired.
  • Current licensure as a pharmacist in the State of Maryland required.
  • BLS certification is required.
  • Hospital and departmental education requirements completed within 90 days of hire.

Salary Range: Minimum $51.79/hour - Maximum $85.52/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
