Under the direction of the Clinical Pharmacy Manager, provides advanced pharmaceutical care by assisting in the development and coordination of clinical pharmacy services and educational programs for the Department. Responsible for providing tools and educational opportunities to enhance services provided by all staff members. Participates on intra‑ and interdepartmental committees as assigned. Serves as preceptor to pharmacy students and residents as assigned.
Participates in the development of institution‑wide drug use policies. Perform a variety of duties involving the receiving, storage, compounding and dispensing of medications and supplies. Responsible for the assessment of patient drug therapy, review of drug interactions, incompatibilities, drug‑induced adverse effects, and appropriate drug doses. Documents the care provided to patients. Participates in supervision of technical staff. Reports to the Clinical Pharmacy Manager.
