Job summary

Responsibilities

• Provides drug information to physicians and other healthcare professionals.
• Performs all dispensing functions of a registered pharmacist; reviews orders and verifies medications.
• Assists with distribution and control of controlled drug substances.
• Follows procedures for aseptic preparation and compounding of parenteral products.
• Participates in meetings and rounds to review therapy choices and rationale.
• Provides pharmacokinetic monitoring and consult services.
• Identifies and assists in managing medication errors and adverse drug events.
• Work at least 2 days per month at UMCP.
