Tampa General Hospital is seeking a licensed pharmacist to actively coordinate comprehensive pharmaceutical care for patients, in compliance with federal and state regulations. The role emphasizes pharmacists' expertise and collaboration with the healthcare team to ensure safe and effective therapy.
The position requires participation in pharmacotherapy consults, staff education, and targeted drug programs, with a focus on safety and optimal patient outcomes in a hospital setting.
To actively coordinate, on a day-to-day basis, the provision of high quality, comprehensive pharmaceutical care to the patients in compliance with federal and state legal/regulatory, accreditation, and professional standards. Participates in Pharmacotherapy Consult service, staff development and education, and targeted drug programs. Assesses the age-specific needs of patients served while monitoring patient medication use and processing medication orders. The Pharmacist is responsible for the final check of all ordered medications including patient specific medications, storage cabinet stock/restock, and nonsterile and sterile compounded medications. Able to perform all of the duties of a registered Pharmacist. Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with the mission, vision and values of Tampa General Hospital.
