Tampa General Hospital is seeking a pharmacist to coordinate and oversee high-quality pharmaceutical care within federal, state, and professional standards. You will participate in Pharmacotherapy Consults, staff development, and targeted drug programs to optimize patient outcomes.
The role requires a BS Pharmacy, one year of hospital pharmacy experience, and an active Florida pharmacy license, with duties including the final check of medications and appropriate stocking.
To actively coordinate, on a day-to-day basis, the provision of high quality, comprehensive pharmaceutical care to the patients in compliance with federal and state legal/regulatory, accreditation, and professional standards. Participates in Pharmacotherapy Consult service, staff development and education, and targeted drug programs. Assesses the age-specific needs of patients served while monitoring patient medication use and processing medication orders. The Pharmacist is responsible for the final check of all ordered medications including patient specific medications, storage cabinet stock/restock, and nonsterile and sterile compounded medications. Able to perform all of the duties of a registered Pharmacist. Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with the mission, vision and values of Tampa General Hospital.
