Job summary

Tampa General Hospital is seeking a Pool Clinical Pharmacist to actively coordinate high-quality pharmaceutical care for patients across the hospital. You will participate in Pharmacotherapy Consults, staff education, and targeted drug programs while ensuring safety and compliance.

The role requires at least one year of hospital pharmacy experience and an active Florida Pharmacist license, with the ability to perform final checks on all medications and support sterile and nonsterile compounding

Qualifications

• One year hospital pharmacy experience required.
• FL Pharmacy license (or active Florida Pharmacist license) required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily provision of high-quality pharmaceutical care to patients.
• Support Pharmacotherapy Consult service and staff education.

Description

To actively coordinate, on a day-to-day basis, the provision of high quality, comprehensive pharmaceutical care to the patients in compliance with federal and state legal/regulatory, accreditation, and professional standards. Participates in Pharmacotherapy Consult service, staff development and education, and targeted drug programs. Assesses the age-specific needs of patients served while monitoring patient medication use and processing medication orders. The Pharmacist is responsible for the final check of all ordered medications including patient specific medications, storage cabinet stock/restock, and nonsterile and sterile compounded medications. Able to perform all of the duties of a registered Pharmacist. Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with the mission, vision and values of Tampa General Hospital.

Qualifications

Experience: One year hospital pharmacy experience required.

Licenses/Certifications :FL Pharmacy license required.
