Job summary

UCHealth is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist for the Inpatient Pharmacy in Aurora, CO. The role covers inpatient oncology and bone marrow transplant units with day and evening shifts, part-time schedule, and a pay range of $59.80–$83.72 per hour depending on experience.

The position requires a PharmD/Pharmacist license, state licensure, and relevant life support certification. Oncology experience and board certification are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide coverage on the inpatient oncology/bone marrow transplant unit and inpatient oncology infusion areas.
  • Establish a strong clinical pharmacy practice focused on patient-centered care.
  • Conduct comprehensive medication reviews, order verification, and patient counseling.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to optimize drug therapy plans, ensuring efficacy and safety.
  • Develop proficiency in intravenous and oral anti-cancer therapies for solid and hematologic malignancies.
  • Contribute to efficient operation of pharmacy services within oncology areas, including medication dispensing, inventory management, and quality improvement initiatives.

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Pharmacy from an accredited school.
  • State licensure as a Pharmacist and any relevant life support certification at position level.
Preferred Qualifications
  • PGY2 residency in Oncology, or PGY1 residency + 1 year of Oncology Clinical experience, or no residency and 3 years of Oncology Clinical experience.
  • Prior inpatient experience.
  • Board certification in area of expertise within 1 year of employment.
