Job summary

Baptist Health seeks a Pharmacist to join Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville. This full-time, central pharmacy role covers the IV room and OR Satellite with shifts 9:00 AM–7:30 PM or 11:00 AM–10:00 PM; every fourth weekend is required.

You will supervise technicians, review orders, advise medical staff, and monitor patient therapy. Florida Pharmacist license and DOH licensure are required; inpatient hospital pharmacy experience and PGY1 preferred.

Qualifications

• Registered Pharmacist — State Board of Pharmacy required.
• Licensed Pharmacist — Florida DOH required.
• In-Patient Hospital Pharmacy experience preferred; PGY1 residency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Enter orders with high accuracy.
• Check technician work prior to release of medications.
• Supervise technicians and consult with medical staff on medications.
• Monitor patient therapy and provide pharmacokinetics services.

This is a full-time, various shift opportunity at our beautiful campus in downtown Jacksonville. This is a central operations role within the Central Pharmacy, IV room, and OR Satellite. The primary working hours and shift are 9:00 AM to 7:30 PM or 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM, with every fourth weekend shifts required. This Pharmacist will be working in the central pharmacy checking patient orders, authorizations, and dispensing medications. This Pharmacist will be supervising technicians and consulting with other medical staff on medication and regimens. This is an opportunity to do hybrid functions within the central pharmacy and gain clinical experience.As a Pharmacist, you will be responsible for:Entering orders with great accuracy.Checking technician work for accuracy prior to release of medications and solutions to the floor.Supervising technicians and serving on committees as assigned.Answering questions for all health care professionals.Serving as a consultant for members of the medical staff.Monitoring patient therapy as assigned, including pharmacokinetics services.Education & Credential Requirements:Registered Pharmacist - State Board of Pharmacy RequiredLicensed Pharmacist - DOH RequiredBachelor of Science RequiredA Pharmacist license within the State of Florida is required.
