Job summary

Community Hospital in Grand Junction, CO is seeking a Retail Pharmacist to join Canyon View Pharmacy operations. The role includes verifying medication orders, counseling patients, supervising staff, and participating in quality programs to ensure safe, effective patient care.

Relocation to Grand Junction is required, with in-person on-site work and compensation ranging from $61.00 to $70.15 per hour; candidates must hold Colorado pharmacist licensure and a PharmD or BS with relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy required; Doctor of Pharmacy preferred with at least one year of related experience.
• Inpatient pharmacist experience preferred, but not required.
• Requires current, unrestricted licensure as a Pharmacist in the State of Colorado.

• Provide drug information and education to medical staff and patients.

• Maintain inventory, oversee storage conditions, and monitor drug shortages or recalls.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical programs.
• Serve as acting Pharmacy Director during absences, ensuring continuity of operations and oversight.
• Verify integrity of all products prior to distribution to patient care areas.
• Always Abide by all current United States Pharmacopeia (USP) recommendations.

Compensation

• The anticipated compensation range for this position is $61.00 - $70.15 per hour, commensurate with qualifications, education, experience, and other applicable factors. This position is exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act.
• Additional compensation may be available in the form of discretionary incentive or other compensation programs. Any such additional compensation is not guaranteed and is determined at the sole discretion of the organization based on applicable program terms, individual and/or organizational performance, and other eligibility requirements.
