Job summary

CompleteRx seeks a Pharmacist Business Development Director to expand our hospital and health system footprint in the Southeast, developing executive partnerships and identifying opportunities to improve pharmacy performance with innovative management solutions.

Based in Georgia or nearby, you will cultivate relationships with C-suite leaders, devise territory strategies, and drive long-term hospital management agreements, with travel up to 30% to engage prospects and clients.

Qualifications

  • Licensed pharmacist in good standing.
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience as a pharmacist in a hospital or health system setting.
  • Minimum three (3) years of hospital pharmacy leadership or management experience.
  • Experience communicating with hospital executives, administrators, clinical leaders, or VP-level stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated understanding of hospital pharmacy operations, including staffing, workflow, compliance, financial performance and service delivery.
  • Aptitude for developing business development, consultative selling, prospecting and lead generation skills.
  • Healthcare services sales, business development, or account management experience preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products: Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute territory and account-specific sales strategies with proactive prospecting and pipeline development.
  • Identify, evaluate, and pursue new business opportunities within prospective and existing clients.
  • Clearly communicate CompleteRx services, differentiators, value proposition, and benefits to C-suite hospital leaders.
  • Understand hospital pharmacy operations and acute care markets to engage prospects, build credibility, and advance sales.
  • Analyze sales territory, competition, opportunities, and translate insights into effective account strategies.
  • Prepare and deliver monthly sales updates and participate in recurring business development and company meetings.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of sales activities in the CompleteRx call reporting system.
  • Support marketing initiatives and travel up to 30% with overnight stays.

What You Will Do
Business Development
  • Develop and execute territory and account-specific sales strategies, including proactive prospecting, lead generation, follow-up, and pipeline development.
  • Ability to identify, evaluate, and pursue new business opportunities within prospective and existing clients.
  • Ability to communicate CompleteRx services, differentiators, value proposition, and business benefits clearly and persuasively to Director, VP and C-suite hospital leaders.
  • Knowledgeable of hospital pharmacy operations, the acute care hospital market, and CompleteRx services sufficient to engage prospects, build credibility, and advance sales opportunities.
  • Ability to analyze assigned sales territory, including competition, opportunities, and challenges, and translate insights into effective account strategies.
  • Prepare and deliver monthly sales updates and participate in recurring business development, staff, and company meetings.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of sales activities in the CompleteRx call reporting database.
  • Support related marketing initiatives, campaigns, and projects that advance business development objectives.
  • Travel up to 30% with overnight stays.
Executive Relationship Management
  • Ability to initiate, develop, and maintain long-lasting relationships with customers and prospective customers.
  • Develop and deliver hospital-specific presentations and proposals to prospective clients at the Director, VP, and C-suite levels.
  • Ability to develop professional, client-specific proposals and presentation materials.
Trade Shows & Conventions
  • Attend relevant industry trade shows and conventions to identify prospects, strengthen market presence, and support business development efforts.
What You Will Need
