Job summary

SpecialtyRx is hiring a Licensed Pharmacist for our LTC pharmacy team in Elizabethtown, KY. You will evaluate orders, ensure accurate labeling, and collaborate with nursing and medical staff to optimize therapy in long-term care settings.

We seek detail-oriented professionals who can work independently, manage multiple tasks, and maintain patient-focused care across day/evening shifts with a competitive hourly rate.

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacist license with the KY Board of Pharmacy is required.
• Experience in Long Term Care is preferred.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills are essential.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work.
• Ability to work independently, accurately and efficiently.
• Must be multi-tasking and reliable.
• Familiarity with LTC frameworks software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate medication orders for drug appropriateness, dosage, interactions, and administration.
• Ensure dispensed medicines are properly supplied and labeled.
• Communicate with nursing staff, physicians, and healthcare team about medication-related queries.
• Supervise the preparation of medicines.
• Recommend therapy changes to physicians and facility staff when needed.
• Investigate and resolve medication-related queries.
• Maintain customer databases including medical history and clinical data.
