Select Specialty Hospital-Downriver in Wyandotte, MI seeks a Pharmacist to oversee pharmacy services, drug distribution, IV admixture, and patient medication counseling in a fast-paced hospital setting. You will ensure accurate drug supplies and provide clinical support to enhance patient outcomes.

The role emphasizes discharge counseling, staff training through comprehensive orientation and ongoing education, and participation in quality improvement initiatives to deliver exceptional care.

Qualifications

• Requires successful completion of all educational requirements as mandated for state licensure.
• Current State licensure required.
• BLS if required by State.

Responsibilities

• Have working knowledge of pharmaceutical services including drug distribution, central operations and IV admixture.
• Provide clinical support of the hospital pharmacy function in a fast paced environment.
• Maintain adequate drug supplies at the pharmacy at all times.
• Inform and instruct patients on drugs to be used after discharge.
• Develop and participate in new employee training and education programs.
• Participate in patient drug therapy monitoring.
• Promote an environment of continuous quality improvement.
