Job summary

Regency Hospital - Cleveland East, part of Select Medical, seeks a Pharmacist to support inpatient post-ICU services with a focus on drug distribution, clinical support, and patient education. You will ensure medication availability, participate in training programs, and contribute to quality improvement in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist licensure by the state.
• Hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
• Clinical pharmacy knowledge across drug distribution and IV admixture.

Responsibilities

• Maintain working knowledge of drug distribution systems, central operations and IV admixture.
• Provide clinical support for hospital pharmacy function in fast-paced settings.
• Ensure adequate drug supplies at all times.
• Inform and instruct patients on discharge medications.
• Participate in new employee training and education programs.
• Engage in patient drug therapy monitoring.
• Promote continuous quality improvement.

Responsibilities

• As the Pharmacist, you will be responsible for having a working knowledge of all areas of pharmaceutical services including drug distribution systems, central operations and IV admixture.


• Providing clinical support of the hospital pharmacy function in a fast paced environment.


• Maintaining adequate drug supplies at the pharmacy at all times.


• Correctly informing and instructing patients on any drugs to be used after they are discharged.


• Developing and participating in new employee training and education programs.


• Participating in patient drug therapy monitoring.


• Promoting an environment of continuous quality improvement.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Requires successful completion of all educational requirements as mandated for state licensure.


• BLS if required by State.

Preferred Qualifications

• Pharm D or BS Pharm plus advanced degree or completion of hospital pharmacy residency.
