Job summary

Job description

We have multiple onsite positions throughout the US.

We are seeking a licensed Pharmacist to accept and dispense prescription medications, monitor patient medication compliance, and provide clinical consultation and support services to patients. This role works closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare practitioners to ensure safe, effective, and compliant medication management.

Key Responsibilities

• Accept and dispense prescription medications
• Monitor patient medication compliance and over-usage patterns
• Ensure medication supply and dispensing practices comply with applicable law
• Ensure prescribed medications are suitable for each patient
• Accurately maintain confidential patient records and pharmacy files
• Advise patients on medication use, potential reactions, and answer patient questions
• Provide consultation on prescription and non-prescription medications, including storage, dosage, side effects, and drug interactions
• Provide patient services such as smoking cessation support, blood pressure measurement, and cholesterol management
• Educate patients on proper use of medical devices such as blood pressure monitors and glucose meters
• Compound medications for internal or external use
• Prepare sterile solutions following proper procedures
• Supervise pharmacy staff, including pharmacy technicians and pharmacy clerks
• Maintain appropriate inventory of pharmaceutical and medical supplies
• Identify patients' drug-related problems and communicate effectively with physicians and other healthcare providers
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, other pharmacists, and pharmacy interns

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy
• Registered Pharmacist license in state(s) of practice

Preferred Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD)
• Experience compounding infused drugs
• Proven experience evaluating and monitoring drug therapies for home care patients
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Participation/membership in professional pharmacy societies or organizations
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
