Job summary

Southern Regional Medical Center in Georgia seeks a per diem pharmacist to support a busy hospital pharmacy. Under supervision of the Director of Pharmacy, you will ensure high quality pharmaceutical care and patient safety across inpatient services including General Medicine, ICU, OB/GYN, and Emergency Care.

Requirements include a current Georgia Pharmacist license, hospital pharmacy experience preferred, a BS in Pharmacy (PharmD preferred), and BLS/ACLS certification; APhA immunization

Qualifications

• Current state Pharmacist license.
• Hospital pharmacy operations experience preferred.
• BS in Pharmacy required; PharmD degree preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certification preferred.
• APhA Immunization Certification and BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate activities of the pharmacy department to provide high-quality pharmaceutical care.
• Ensure patient safety across service lines including General Medicine, ICU, OB/GYN, Pediatrics, Emergency Care and more.
• Support operations in inpatient and outpatient pharmacy settings as needed.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize medication therapy and safety.

Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Director of Pharmacy, coordinates the activities of the pharmacy department to provide the highest quality of pharmaceutical care to all patients served by the hospital, while ensuring patient safety. The scope of patient care provided may include: General Medicine/Surgical, Intensive Care Services, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Pediatrics, Emergency Care, Oncology, Peri-operative, Geriatrics and Outpatient Services.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

1. Current state Registered Pharmacist License.2. Experience in hospital pharmacy operations preferred.3. B.S. degree in Pharmacy required; Doctor of Pharmacy degree preferred. 4. BLS and ACLS certification preferred
