Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD required.
• Minimum of 2 years pharmacist experience.
• Current Florida license in good standing.
• Ability to supervise staff in line with policies and laws.
• Excellent communication and customer service.
• Proficient with pharmacy software and computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Reviews prescriptions issued by Physician or other prescribers to assure accuracy and determine formulas and ingredients.
• Compounds medications using standard formulas and processes (weighing, measuring, mixing).
• Answers questions and provides information on drug interactions, side effects, dosage, and storage.
• Maintains procedures on quality assurance, security of controlled substances, and disposal of hazardous waste.
• Enters data such as patient name, medication, and cost to maintain files, charges, and inventory.

Responsibilities

• A passion for outstanding customer service, professionalism, and teamwork.


• Computer experience mandatory. Ability to operate various pharmacy software programs/equipment proficiently.
