Job summary

You will provide drug information, immunizations, and disease state management, collaborating with insurers and providers while developing staff to improve service quality and profitability.

Qualifications

• Active South Carolina pharmacist license in good standing
• 1+ year of pharmacist experience

Responsibilities

• Deliver drug information to healthcare providers and advise on drug interactions and contraindications.
• Forecast opportunities to support growth and improve performance in the pharmacy.
• Monitor storage and inventory to contribute to revenue and profitability targets.
• Support Pharmacy Manager with efficient workflow and optimization of pharmacy finances and patient experience.
• Conduct immunizations, diagnostic testing, disease state management, and other clinical services.
• Engage with insurers and providers and participate in audits to uphold best practices.
• Build connections with local medical community to enhance the company's brand and competitive advantage.
• Develop Pharmacy Support Staff by balancing assignments and addressing development opportunities.
• Establish customer service best practices to deliver a consistent patient experience.

Job Responsibilities:

• Delivers drug information to nurses, physicians, and other health care providers while advising the patient's medical team on drug interactions, contraindications, and other relevant information to ensure proper and accurate drug therapy.
• Forecasts critical business opportunities to contribute to the development of meaningful solutions to drive growth and improve performance in the pharmacy.
• Implement processes for monitoring storage and inventory of medications and supplies to contribute to the company's overall revenue and profitability targets.
• Assists the Pharmacy Manager by supporting the efficient workflow of the pharmacy and identifying ways to optimize pharmacy financials, inventory management, and patient experience.
• Conducts clinical and wellness services such as immunizations, diagnostic testing, disease state management, and other healthcare services.
• Conference with insurance companies and medical providers while also participating in 3rd-party audits to ensure industry-proven best practices are instilled within the company's strategies and product offerings.
• Develops good connections with the local medical community including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to successfully enhance the company's brand recognition and competitive advantage in the industry.
• Develops the Pharmacy Support Staff by balancing assignments that maximize colleagues’ strengths, address development opportunities, and decrease knowledge gaps.
• Help establish customer service best practices with all team members to deliver consistent experience

Skills:

• Less than 5 years’ work experience
• Advanced knowledge of medical terminology.
• Advanced digital literacy skills.

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in pharmacy or Pharm D. required with at least one year experience as a pharmacist.
• Must have an active license in good standing (South Carolina).
