Job summary

V-Soft Consulting is hiring a Pharmacist to support our premier client in Oklahoma City, OK. The role focuses on evaluating and monitoring home care drug therapies, coordinating with physicians, and preparing sterile and non-sterile compounds when allowed by state law.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (Doctor of Pharmacy preferred) with 2 years in acute care or 1 year in home infusion, and possesses strong communication and organizational skills with a flexible

Qualifications

• Two years of acute-care experience or one year home infusion experience.
• Experience with compounding infused drugs.

Responsibilities

• Proven record of evaluating and monitoring drug therapies for home care patients.
• Maintain clinical skills and knowledge through literature review and in-services.
• Prepare sterile and non-sterile compounds using aseptic technique where legal.
• Assist physicians and healthcare professionals in patient care planning and monitoring.

Pharmacist

V-Soft Consulting is currently hiring a Pharmacist for our premier client Oklahoma City, OK.

Primary Location: Oklahoma City, OK

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy required; Doctor of Pharmacy preferred
• Minimum of two (2) years of recent experience in an acute-care setting or one (1) year of recent experience in home infusion therapy
• Experience with compounding infused drugs.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Assists the physician and other involved healthcare professionals with:
• Planning and implementing patient care in the home;
• Setting therapeutic objectives for drug therapy;
• Establishing parameters for monitoring the safety and efficacy of drug therapy; and
• Preparting regular progress reports.
• Maintains clinical skills and knowledge of pharmacotherapy by reviewing literature and attending in-services, seminars and conferences.
• Compounds sterile mixtures and non-mixtures, including, but not limited to parenteral nutrition, antibiotics, chemotherapy, hydration and narcotic analgesics, using aseptic technique where state laws permit.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Proven record of evaluating and monitoring drug therapies for home care patients
• Good organizational and time‑management skills
• Participation and membership in professional societies and organizations is desirable
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Flexible schedule with the ability to work on‑call evenings and weekends on an as-scheduled basis.
