Job summary

Genoa Healthcare, an Optum company, seeks a Float Pharmacist to serve multiple community-based pharmacy sites across Western and Central Massachusetts. You will dispense medications, educate patients, and deliver exceptional service while ensuring compliance with state regulation.

What you'll do

• Dispense medications prescribed by physicians and other licensed practitioners.
• Educate patients and customers on medications and proper use.
• Deliver a high level of customer service and patient support
• Ensure compliance with all applicable State Board of Pharmacy regulations and requirements.
• Administer immunizations as permitted by state regulations.
• Perform other customary pharmacist duties to support pharmacy operations and patient care

What you'll bring

• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD.
• Current pharmacist license in the state of Massachusetts.
• Certified immunizer or willingness to become certified within 3 months of hire.
• Access to reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
• Authorization to administer long-acting injectables, or willingness to obtain authorization within 3 months of hire.

Market Snapshot

• Location Coverage: Springfield, West Springfield, Holyoke, Northampton, Easthampton, Greenfield, Gardner, and Athol, MA.
• Schedule: Pharmacy hours are generally Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM, with every other Saturday 9:00 AM-2:00 PM in Springfield.
• Pay Range: $44.00-$79.00 per hour, based on factors including education, experience, certifications, and local labor market conditions

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $44 - $79 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
