Job summary

Southcoast Health in New Bedford, MA, is seeking a talented Pharmacist to join our not-for-profit health system. Under the direction of the Director of Pharmacy Services, you will perform clinical reviews of patient drug therapy, ensure compliance with regulations, and provide direction and supervision to assigned personnel.

The position offers flexible shifts with 24–32 hours and weekend/holiday rotation. Locations include St.

Qualifications

• Minimum five-year Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy.
• Massachusetts Pharmacist license.
• Over one year of related experience preferred; new graduates considered.
• Must be vaccinated against influenza and COVID-19 or have an approved exemption.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical review of patient drug therapy and provide direction and supervision of assigned personnel.
• Utilize computer applications to support medication management.
• Maintain compliance with state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations.
• Support safe and effective pharmacotherapy and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Hours: 24 flex 32hrs

Shift: Flexible shifts & hours, 6:00am - 12:00am with weekend and holiday rotation

Location: St. Luke's Hospital - New Bedford, MA

**Available to regular status employees who are scheduled to work a minimum of 24 hours.

Under direction of the Director of Pharmacy Services or Designee, perform a variety of professional services and responsibilities related to the clinical review of patient drug therapy, knowledgeable of computer applications, pertinent state and federal law/regulations and provide immediate direction and supervision of assigned personnel.

• A minimum of a five year Bachelor of Science Degree Program in Pharmacy is required.
• Must be a Registered Pharmacist licensed by the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Pharmacy.
• Over one year related experience preferred. Consideration given to new graduates.
• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired

Compensation: Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience.
